Like so many professional black athletes, Tiger Woods apparently needs to boost his self esteem by chasing white women. While famously and superficially embracing multiculturalism by referring to himself as “caublasian”, Tiger apparently doesn’t embrace a multicultural outlook when it comes to whoring around…preferring to eliminate any “bla” from his conquests. From Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant to Charles Barkley and Randy Moss…the list goes on and on…the one common outlook among a high percentage of famous black athletes seems to be “anything, ANYONE, but a black woman.”
This character flaw was evident in Tiger Woods when writer Charles Pierce spent a day with him in 1997 for an Esquire magazine article. During the course of the day, Tiger showed an abnormal obsession with, and curiosity of, whether women believed the myth of penis size regarding race. He even went on to tell crude jokes about “black penis size” to the women preparing him for the Esquire cover shoot. This was after openly complaining that the PGA didn’t have groupies like the NBA. It was quite a pathetic display by a man that has gone out of his way to market himself as “race neutral.”
Now, while his adultorous life unravels in the press as more and more women that met his racial requirements go public with their affairs, it will be interesting to see how his trophy wife handles it. It would have to be tough to realize that you are merely a blonde, blue eyed hood ornament meant to increaese a black athletes perceived self worth more than a cadillac or mercedes emblem could.

I’ve seen brothers in action – thy are dangerous when they see a sister with a white guy. I would say in places like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver etc. it’s fairly common. But in the U.S. – whew..
But Jasmine, we’re usually amused by the expression “you can’t handle them”. I find that generally most people would rather the world change. They can’t look in the mirror and adapt. If there’s a problem – it must be someone else’s fault. Interesting. Yet the the divide persists and more and more of us are born out of wedlock. I won’t get too deeply into what I do for a living but I am regularly exposed to stats regarding all aspects of life and I am deeply interested and worry about our children and the environment they will grow up in. For me, and many others like me – we would rather be happy and not treat a relationship as a tug of war – just better odds. Let’s be clear: other cultures are often better prepared for the challenges that face mankind. We underperform. Period. And combative attitudes are not working. Too many men are leaving their women and their children – it’s heart breaking. Black mens cavalier attitude towards family, children and their partners and our womens attitudes towards us contribute to our collective failure to build a successful future. The sisters that I know that are cool and confident don’t play that game and the boys will not leave them alone.
So maybe your right, I can’t handle the attitude of some of my sisters. And as it happens, I don’t have to and neither do a lot of my friends. So where does that leave these ladies? Angry and single I suppose..

true, we do have our problems as black women, but we are stuck in a vicious cycle that didn start out as our fault but we are perpetuating it. black females do need to get the chip off their shoulders b4 black men will have nuthng to do with them altogether: we will have scared them off to all other races. as for me, i dont have to worri about that problem myself because of my hispanic boyfriend..

There are some fine looking Black women, Hally Berry comes to mind. The thing is she does not look like the typical black women. Oprah looks like the typical Black women. Why would you date women that look like Oprah?
Plus 15 percent of the US population is Black. That leaves 85 percent other. For arguing sake say half are women. One tenth of 1 percent of any population are real nice looking. That don’t leave to many foxy mama’s!
The many racist comments among these messages underline why I don’t date white. Many racists will vent their true feelings on pages such as these, then go to work or socialise with black people and pretend to be nice and friendly. If not you, then there are members of your family who are like this. It does matter that Woods only dates white women. Why is it so acceptable? If this was a white athlete only dating black women would there have been so little comment? Black women are as they have always been. We expect more of our men than white society does, so we are labelled ‘pushy’ or ‘aggressive’. Black relationships have changed tremendously for the worse since the 60’s, thanks to social engineering. Black men need to get over the ‘forbidden fruit’ thing, sometimes it’s not as tasty as you expect.
Thanks, Required. I appreciate your level-headed opinion. I am getting a bit tired of hearing about the stereotypical black woman. I don’t fit the stereotypes at all and I am going to fuss if my husband has “transgressions”. What I don’t get is why are white women considered trophies no matter how messed up their skin is, how much weave they wear (yes they do), how flat their tails are and how generally skinny or terribly fat they really can be. I look at the sheer numbers of black men dating white women and I don’t feel sorry for black women, I pity the man because he is showing that he is easy to brainwash and weak in general. I also think that white women throw themselves at black men and have been told by them how wonderful they are compared to black women so they just play the role because no matter how fat or unattractive they are, they know deep down they don’t have to go it alone because they can “always get a black man.” Because he will date anything, especially if it aint black.
It’s also interesting how uncomfortable white women are when an attractive black woman enters the room.

At first I was not going to comment but I went to the grocery store this morning and saw a black man with a latino woman. Two days ago my ex-sister-in-law who is black expressed her thoughts on Tiger in that she hopes Elin Woods takes him for everything he has and that she is so tired of black men being with other women of different races now in the 20 years that I have known her she has never been negative or made mention of this. My sister is very adamant about black men/white women when she sees it she takes it personally. Both of these women are very attractive. I’m writing because I have been out shopping for the past two-three weeks and every time I have seen a black man he has a non black woman on his arm. Exceptions have been 3-4 couples out of 20 approximately. I don’t say what’s wrong with black women – BUT What Is Wrong With Black Men ! !

I think it is sad that everyone wants to stereotype and pigeonhole multiracial people like Tiger. What Americans do not realize is that race is ultimately an arbitrary and meaningless social categorization that most people let needlessly define their lives. America is light years behind in terms or race relations compared to many other countries. Do you know that on this side of the planet the majority of people are mixed? The entire populations of many Latin American and Caribbean countries consist entirely of mixed race people who identify as such. It is depressing that so many Americans still have such a virulent resistance to interracial relationships and multicultural identity in 2010.
As a mixed race man, myself, I am attracted to all different types of women. However, I mostly prefer Black, Latina and mixed race women. I usually like these types of women because most White women just don’t have “it”. Most White women are plain jane boring to me. Most White women don’t have the sexiness in curves, complexion, style of fashion, swagger or attitude like many women of color. I’m sorry, I just don’t buy into the oppressive, manufactured played-out standard of white beauty that has been aggressively imposed on all Americans.
