Urban Meyer said on Tuesday that he wasn’t sure if suspended defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap would be allowed to play in the Gators’ bowl game, adding that university president Bernie Machen and athletic director Jeremy Foley will be in on the decision. Sounds like Urban has had his disciplinary powers taken away as a result of the embarrassment caused by his 1/2 suspension of starting linebacker Brandon Spikes for gouging an opposing player’s eyes. From the looks of the Gators’ recruiting class, maybe Machen and Foley need to get involved in recruiting, too. Pictured at left with the gun and what looks to be about $16 (dinner for two at Wendy’s) is Leon Orr, 6-4 295lb defensive lineman commitment and “collect money cartel” member. Pictured below with what appear to be gang signs are Orr and DE Lynden Trail, Florida commitments. How can this not turn out well for the Gators? UPDATE on this story

I doubt Urban wins much without the savior Tebow. Tebow bailed him out a ton by giving him another coach on the field. Myer has zero class and recruits anyone to win. He’s a punk.
It’s pretty telling that no source is mentioned for these photos. Especially since the one that’s supposedly Trail is the only one of them that looks close who the person it is labeled as and even then there’s a bandanna over his face.
I have no love for Urban but that photo doesn’t match others of Gerald Christian.

The author is clearly some old fart that doesn’t realize that those pages are suppose to be caricatures of real life. And Let’s not forget that Tenn. actually did have player rob people at gun point. how funny the little gators and their supporters are, let a rival or any school that is competitive against them make a mistake or break a rule and the the so called “gator nation” also known as bandwagon fans are all over them. But let their university or there player slip up and anyone that dares to bring it is a jealous ass for making for of the gators and there school. Good example is when a few years ago florida led the NCAA in arrests, which by the way why no no Outside the Lines report on that? If you brought up the fact the Florida players spent more time and money in jail than they did say studying and paying rent, you are just jealous that your team isn’t as good as UF. And I don’t condone recruiting questionable players. I don’t think they should get a chance at all, and if the do, I’d prefer they played elsewhere.
Tom, noone has “won” yet because recruiting season is not over and noone can sign their LOIs yet. Your program could easily refuse their commitments and not send them an LOI so your point is moot.
If their offers get pulled maybe we will show some respect for your coach but if not, well then we know how they roll in Gville.
Its funny, the last time i checked Florida isn’t the only major D1 school, or even SEC school that has offered these kids scholarships.

All im saying is that two photos taken out of context dont mean anything. Make all the claims you want about the one Leon Orr photo. Not great but certainly not a crime. As for the other two, they are bad people ’cause of the way they are dressed? That is ridiculous. Everyone under the age od 30 either does or has had a photo posted of them holding a drink in their hand. Doesn’t mean they are all alcoholics. Sounds like you Canes are getting a little “chippy” now that UF has 12 of the top 72 players on the ESPNU Top 150 locked up, with another three of four in the Top 50 likely to commit. We are leaving you guys in the freakin’ dust!!

Arrest reports don’t lie… Miami never had almost 30 arrests in a 4 year span… Do all programs have their share of trouble… yes they do… Do all coaches look the other way as often as Urban… no way…
Get those 12 guys into school… on the field… and developed before you start beating your chest. If you watch college football for more than 5 minutes you know those ratings are way over blown… Mark Ingram… the back that just bitch slapped UFelony… was the #94 Running Back in his class…
And yes the UFelony fan base is bigger… as is the student body… by a long shot… I watched the 30/30 Special… and all that showed was that Miami’s rise to the top was done the right way… with future NFL Hall of Famers… The wheels came off when Erickson took over… and the rise back to the top is being done the right way… UFelony can’t say the same thing… take off the orange and blue colored glasses and be honest with yourself.
You all are naive to think that FL is the only team that will overlook character flaws to take talent. Go to either one of these 2 guys scout pages and you will see many of the top programs in the nation have offered these players a scholarships. Just because they chise FL doesnt make their program any different from the other big schools, we suspend or kickout players who have ran into trouble and then the other schools like UT will go and pick them up after their year in Juco!

Okay I have read some of these posts and seriously you Florida fans make me sick. So typical for Florida fans, are we all really surprised they would back up their team even if their team was recruiting thugs and gangsters?! I was at the Championship game last year against OU and I have never seen such poor sportsmanship and mean fans. And on another note, I have no jealousy towards UF or their fans, really I am not even a huge football fan so I really could care less. However, you all were talking about how the pictures weren’t that bad and a pictures doesn’t show a person personality. I beg to differ, I don’t think I would hold a gun in one hand and $16.00 in another hand just for fun to take a picture…while throwing up gang signs. Hmmm….he’s such a good boy huh! And why don’t you UF fans ask yourself something, you talk about how these pictures don’t mean anything about the young man so that means that if any of you have a young daughter or son you would definitly with noe question let your child hang out with this gangster right….from what you are sayiing this picture doesn’t make him bad at all riiiighht?!
